How we can help

Our volunteers regularly help with:

Property research — history of specific homes, lots, and streets in Orinda
Family history — tracing connections to early Orinda families and residents
School history — records and photographs from Orinda's schools over the decades
Photo identification — help identifying people, places, or dates in historical photographs
General research — answering questions about Orinda's past, landmarks, and community history

Most questions get a response within a few days. We're a small volunteer team, so complex research requests may take longer, but we'll get back to you.

Have something to donate? If you have old photographs, documents, or artifacts from Orinda's past, we'd love to talk. We can scan and return originals if you'd like to keep them, or accept donations to our permanent collection. Email info@orindahistory.org with a brief description.
